Md. Shimul Bhuia

Biography

Test ---------Md. Shimul Bhuia, born on January 26, 1996, in Chargargari, Ishwardi, Pabna, Dhaka, Bangladesh, is an accomplished researcher and dedicated scholar in the field of pharmacy. With a strong academic foundation, he completed his secondary and higher secondary education, achieving a perfect GPA of 5.00 in both examinations. Shimul pursued his passion for pharmacy at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) in Gopalganj, where he earned both his Bachelor’s (B.Pharm) and Master’s (M.Pharm) degrees in pharmacy under life science faculty.

 

As a Deputy Director at BioLuster Research Center Ltd., Shimul brings expertise in animal studies, computational approaches, natural products, and preclinical toxicology. His research interests span cancer biology, immunology, and neuroscience. Known for his dedication to uncovering new knowledge, he is actively seeking a Ph.D. opportunity to further his academic and professional aspirations. Driven by an unwavering commitment to research, Shimul aims to make significant contributions in his field, exploring and advancing scientific understanding in critical areas of human health and disease.

 

In addition to his professional work, Shimul is a dedicated Muslim, embodying values of integrity and commitment in both his personal and professional life.

Education

Md. Shimul Bhuia is a dedicated scholar with a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences. He earned both his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) degrees from the Department of Pharmacy under the Faculty of Life Sciences at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj, Bangladesh. The B.Pharm program spanned four years across eight semesters, while the M.Pharm program was completed over 1.5 years in three semesters. In his M.Pharm program, he completed his thesis on drug discovery and development fields with the title ‘’ Pharmacological Prospections of trans-Ferulic acid Using Different Preclinical Approaches‘’ under Ast. Prof. Dr. Md. Torequl Islam.

Prior to his university education, Md. Shimul Bhuia excelled academically, achieving a perfect GPA of 5.00 out of 5.00 in both the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination under the Science Group at Shahid BulBul Govt. College, Pabna, and the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination under the Science Group at Kamal Pur T.M. High School, Pabna. His consistent academic excellence reflects his commitment to learning and his proficiency in science and pharmacy.

  • Literature review on the biological activity of the natural compound (trans ferulic acid)
  • Evaluation of toxicity level of trans ferulic acid using Allium Cepa biomonitoring system for animal trial
  • Preclinical trial of natural compound (trans ferulic acid) on biological activity in experimental animals 
  • Assessment of neuroprotective (Anxiolytic, sedative, and anticonvulsant) activity of trans ferulic acid on mice
  • Evaluation of other biological activity (antiemetic, antidiarrheal, and antiinflammatory) on chicks and mice
  • Molecular docking and dynamic simulation of ligand-protein interaction to assess the molecular interaction
  • Assessment of in silico pharmacokinetics and toxicity using computational tools
